What does it involve?

The Assessment

I visit your property and records key details — construction type, insulation, heating system, windows, and hot water. The visit typically takes 30–45 minutes.

The Calculation

The data is entered into government-approved RdSAP software, which calculates your property’s energy efficiency and produces a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).

The Certificate

Your EPC is lodged to the national register and valid for 10 years. You’ll receive your certificate the same day as your assessment — ready for your sale, let, or compliance record.

What does it cost?

Prices include travel within 20 miles of York. Beyond that, mileage is charged at £1.50 per mile.
